LIZ HAFFNER
Liz Haffner is an art consultant with a background in branding, marketing, and creative strategy. She brings more than twenty years of experience working with emerging and established brands.
Liz grew up in Middle Tennessee and attended Pepperdine University in Malibu, where she studied Intercultural Communication and Business. She began her career in Los Angeles and later in Nashville, leading digital marketing and brand campaigns in the entertainment and fashion industries. Her work has included projects for organizations such as Sony Pictures, Universal Pictures, Netflix, Nike, Sprite, Nisolo and Madwell.
Throughout her career, Liz has focused on helping clients shape meaningful, cohesive visual and voice identities —a perspective she now brings to curating thoughtful, well-balanced art collections.
PETER HAFFNER
Peter Haffner is an art consultant, educator, and art historian based in Kentucky. He brings more than twenty years of experience to his role at HAA.
Born and raised in Cincinnati, Peter developed an early love for art through frequent visits to galleries, museums, and artist studios. He earned his BA in Art History from Bard College, after which he spent a number of years in New York City working in administrative and curatorial roles at several prominent galleries before pursuing his Ph.D. from UCLA's Department of World Arts & Cultures. Over the course of his career, he has worked with galleries, dealers, and private collectors in the United States and abroad, and has lectured on the history and business of art for institutions including the Smithsonian's National Museum of African Art, UCLA's Fowler Museum, and the College Art Association.
Since 2019, Peter has served as Associate Professor of Art History at Centre College, where he also holds affiliated appointments in African and African-American Studies and Latin American Studies. His teaching and research focus on the arts of Haiti and the Black Atlantic, as well as global modern and contemporary art.
